Just because you are conquering doesn't mean you won't have conflict. Not everyone is happy for your blessing. The first thing David does when he has a new thing come at him is pray. Do you associate success with power, ability, money, etc or with PRAYER? He did not want to engage in battle without God, to ensure God is on his side, which would then guarantee the battle is already won. It's not about you; it's about God. For the victory to appear in your life, you must do it God's way. David asked God when the Philistines were coming after him, "Shall I go up?" He prayed and sought God first, then went with God's plan despite his feelings or what he saw in the natural. He only fought those things which God gave him permission to fight, so that He would be with him, guaranteeing victory. As David wears the Philistines out, he's praising God the entire way, giving God the #praise, the #honor, and the #glory the entire time. The enemy comes back a second time. Tradition assumes that because it's all the same fight, etc that he knows how to do it. But, David prays again to God, seeking His face, and again God gives him the victory because David sought God, but this time by giving him a new route, another way, discarding #tradition completely.
You cannot fight today's challenges from yesterday's information. You must be able to #evolve as the #Lord leads you. That's accomplished by seeking Him diligently. And the #blessings will #overflow, for He is the #author and #finisher of our #faith. #Trust in God!
